Horizon Coating System
Horizon Coating is used to cover Nudura ICFs above grade, solving the headache of transitioning from damp-proofing to siding at grade. This product is simply rolled on like paint, with no skilled labour involved. It continues moisture protection from the grade line to the sill plate while giving exposed foundation walls a clean, finished look.
Product Overview
The Horizon® Coating System works with Tremco below-grade foundation waterproofing to provide moisture protection from footing to sill plate.
It is used on exposed above-grade poured concrete or block foundation walls, helping protect the wall while improving the appearance of the foundation.
The system is completed with Horizon Coarse Coat. The textured coating has the appearance of poured concrete once dried.
Two-Part Barrier System
Tremco below-grade exterior waterproofing protects the foundation from leaks and seepage. Horizon continues the protection above grade, from the grade line up to the sill plate.
Protection from Footing to Sill
Horizon meets the below-grade waterproofing at the grade line, helping complete full-wall protection and reduce the common weak spot where many foundation wall leaks occur.
Finished Foundation Look
Instead of leaving the above-grade foundation wall unfinished, Horizon gives the exterior wall a uniform finished appearance with a grey protective coating.
Easy Installation
Horizon Foundation Finishing Systems are easy to roll on with a simple paint roller, protecting the exposed ICF with no skilled troweling or skilled labour required.

Project: Hudson River Homes
In the Hudson River Homes project profile, Horizon was used as part of a Tremco CPG building envelope approach. The system helped create an uninterrupted moisture barrier for the entire wall.
The project used Horizon together with products such as Enviro-Dri®, Nudura® Base Mesh, TREMPRO® 160 and Tremco 2450 Protection Board.
This type of single-source envelope approach can reduce coordination issues and help improve moisture protection details at the foundation transition.
Where Horizon Coating Is Used
Horizon is intended for exterior above-grade foundation walls where the builder wants both moisture protection and a more finished appearance between grade and siding.
